Must have Course One Experience
This cute carrot car cake will be all the talk on Easter Sunday. Susan will show you how to carve this carrot car from a 1/4 sheet cake. You will learn to mold the bunny from fondant. Susan will also show you how to add dimension with the use of luster dust.
All Supplies Included
Join Chef Charity as she takes you on a baking "trip"! You'll learn how to make scratch cakes, cake mixes kicked up, and some frostings to go with. Chocolate, vanilla, chiffon, red velvet (done right!), carrot and pumpkin. Plus Meringue buttercream, cream cheese frosting (also done right) and variations will be discussed. You'll get to help make and eat the cakes and frostings. Learn all sorts of baking knowledge! Why cakes do what they do! Which ones are good for sculpted cakes and which are not. Don't miss this RARE chance to take a class on the basic structure of the cake. Recipe packet included.
Must Have Taken Course One
This little turtle is out taking a walk thru the spring garden, along the she cover her shell in blossom. Susan will show you how to support this little lady so she is free standing. You will be working with cereal treats, fondant, dusting powders, and candy melts. Little Miss Turtle stand approximate 9 inch tall. You will need to bring just a few items, Susan is providing the boards and supports.
This is a four week beginning cake decorating class. Week one will cover leveling, torting, filling and icing your cake. Then you will finish by piping a flower design on your cake. Week two will cover many boarders and accents. Week three you will learn to pipe animal faces as well as trees and foliage. Week four you will finish the course learning to pipe roses. After finishing this course you will have a good understand of cake decorating.
Spring Demo there will be three one hour demos. From 10:30-11:30am Susan topic will be graduation and school out. From 12:15-1:15pm the topic will be mother's day and father's day. The last demo topic from 2:00-3:00pm will be summer time fun. There will be a raffle drawing after each demo session and a grand prize drawing at the end of the day. So plan early and come join us for a day of fun. Seating is limited to 50 so reserve your spot early. A $10.00 fee will save your spot. No refunds given once you have signed up. We will be handing out coupons like always.
Learn how to make the most beautiful floral cupcakes that you've ever seen. These are great for garden parties, bridal showers and birthdays. The flowers will include two types of Daisies, Mums, Sunflowers as well as several other flowers. Students need to bring 12 jumbo sized cupcakes along with a few other supplies to create the delights that will wow your friends and family.
This class teaches the art of making beautiful embroidered floral designs, using royal icing. You will need to bring a Fondant covered 8 inch cake or a Fondant covered Styrofoam cake dummy on a 12 inch white foil covered cakeboard. Fondant may be color of your choice. It's Five O'clock Somewhere is our theme. There will be 4 one hour demos on Saturday and on Sunday there will be another one hour demo and a 3 C's cookie club meeting as well. Must sign up thru California Cake Club.

For all you buttercream lovers out there this class is designed for you. In this three week course you will learn to decorate three different summer themed cakes. Week one will be a beach scene cake, week two is an under the sea cake, and week three will be a Hawiian shirt cake. While these cakes are mostly buttercream, Susan will teach other mediums such as using chocolate and fondant accents.

Welcome in the summer with fun and festive sugar cookies suitable for your up and coming pool, beach and Hawaiian theme parties. Since it's too hot to bake at your house , we will bake the cookies for you, as well as supply all the rolled fondant, royal icing and other supplies you'll need to decorate with. Just show up and have a good time! Students may want to bring a container to take home finished samples or purchase a box at The Cake Cottage the night of class. Cookies my vary than ones shown.

Students notifying The Cake Cottage of a cancellation after 72 hours will not be refunded their tuition. The number of paid students will determine if class is held. Should class be canceled because of too few students; a full refund will be given. Your seat in class is non-transferable. Due to space limitations only registered students are allowed in class. Please be prepared and ready to begin decorating upon your arrival to class.
